Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) will be implementing MetaVision throughout its acute care environment

Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) will implement MetaVision throughout its acute care environment, with the first phase of a three-stage go-live scheduled in December 2018. The system consists of a single database covering Anaesthesiology and Preoperative Medicine, PICU and NICU of the Hospital.
HKCH strives to enhance clinical service quality, promote research, strengthen teaching and training, and provide children-centred and family-friendly services to create a better patient experience, while ensuring financial sustainability.
HKCH will serve as a tertiary referral center for complex, serious and uncommon paediatric cases requiring multidisciplinary management, providing diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for patients in need from birth to 18 years of age territory-wide (note: there is no accident and emergency department or general outpatient clinic in HKCH; all patient cases must be referred by registered doctors in public hospitals or the private sector).

University Hospital of Rennes and iMDsoft announce launch of MetaVision® clinical information management system

Successful first stage of major rollout

The University Hospital of Rennes has successfully commenced deployment of MetaVision. After six months of production use in the pediatric resuscitation department, CHU Rennes sees the benefits of the MetaVision software package in terms of quality of care and patient follow-up, and has continued its deployment in the neonatal resuscitation unit.

The University Hospital of Rennes will implement MetaVision in its pediatric, neonatal, and adult ICUs, a total of over one hundred and thirty beds. A center of excellence in the Brittany region, UHR has 4 sites and more than 1,800 beds. The hospital treats half a million patients annually and remains a benchmark in health research, with over a thousand clinical studies in 2016.

Rennes is the third hospital to have chosen MetaVision through a framework agreement with UniHA, a leading French public sector purchasing group. Centre Hospitalier Libourne (25 adult ICU beds already live) and CHU de Poitiers (88 beds currently in implementation) are the other two hospitals involved in the agreement: they plan to implement MetaVision in a total of some one hundred and twenty ICU beds. This means that some two hundred and fifty critical care beds across the three institutions will be using MetaVision.
