Read MoreThe hospital has replaced paper records with MetaVision in the OR at Heerlen, joining previous implementations in Heerlen's ICU and Sittard’s OR. When complete, the project will encompass 110 beds at the two locations.
This go-live joins previous implementations in the hospital's surgery and internal medicine ICUs, with the neuro intermediate care unit to follow in Q4. MetaVision supports ICUs of any size and any specialty and has been successfully implemented in various types of ICUs worldwide. University Hospital Frankfurt is now using MetaVision in a total of 110 beds.
The hospital now has digital pre-op assessments and electronic patient records in their OR and post-op units. This implementation is part of a larger project with hospital group Niels-Stensen-Kliniken, which will be using MetaVision across the high acuity environments of their three sites.
AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende now has electronic patient records in over 50 ICU beds, joining UZ Leuven, AZ Groeninge Kortrijk, OLV Ziekenhuis Aalst, AZ Sint-Lucas and AZ Turnhout in using MetaVision. Benefits for these hospitals include centralised management, standardisation of workflows and fast implementation.

CHU de Poitiers, comprised of two sites, will be implementing the system in 88 beds across 5 departments. The hospital was impressed with MetaVision’s specialised functionality for neonatal and paediatric care and with iMDsoft’s strong reputation at leading French sites.
The framework was developed by QE Facilities, a subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, and is one of the broadest clinical IT frameworks in the market. It is comprised of 49 suppliers covering 52 products, including electronic patient records, patient administration systems, PACs, RIS, e-prescribing and more. iMDsoft's clinical EPR solution, MetaVision, offers hospital-wide electronic patient records and includes support for clinical workflow management and decision support, clinical documentation, and electronic prescribing as well as medication administration.
