MVscheduling - Increasing Perioperative Efficiency
MVscheduling optimizes operating room usage by managing the complex of resources required for surgery such as rooms, clinicians' equipment, and more. The ability to manage scheduling effectively through substantial reductions in scheduling conflicts and advanced rule-based resource management translates into greater savings for health care institutions. The module can operate as a standalone, or can seamlessly integrate into pre-existing legacy HIS systems through HL7 protocols.
The unit provides three primary services:
Planning: Matching Resources and Requirements
MVscheduling helps to efficiently schedule OR resources. Clinicians can secure a time-slot using a web based system to electively allocate and reserve resources for upcoming OR such as assigned staff, rooms and operation equipment. MVscheduling then alerts users to possible conflicts when posting cases and when required resources for the scheduled procedure are not available.
Online Viewing: Clear & Accessible Information
The central station reports progress and key events in each operating room. It provides an overview of real-time status in all ORs. Furthermore, an information board displays the progress of patients in the waiting area throughout the entire perioperative period and into recovery, and can also be used by the staff to send messages directly to families.
Reporting: Learning from Experience
The reporting module enables system administrators to improve efficiency by analyzing data such as clinicians' minimum, maximum, and average surgery times for the entire range of surgical procedures. This provides OR managers with a powerful tool for optimizing resource management.
